Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day. Since it was a 3-day weekend, I went to visit my friend Dennis and made him these peanut butter chocolate chip cookies from the book Baked (recipe can be found here). It’s one of the best recipes that incorporate the two types of cookie.
That’s because if you use a regular peanut butter cookie recipe, it’s too soft to hold the chips and really work it in. It doesn’t bake up properly. These were perfectly soft inside but crispy on the outside and were good for making large cookies.
I moved into my new apartment on Friday and my furniture wasn’t scheduled to arrive for another week, so it was really funny trying to bake with improvised items.
I caught Dennis randomly grabbing a few cookies throughout the weekend and they were completely gone by Monday, so I’m pretty sure this means the recipe is a keeper and a recommendation from him as well.
For the fourth, we spent it in Greenville, which has a huge festival and the biggest fireworks display in South Carolina. A good time overall. I hope whatever you did was a success as well!
